This session holds a special place in my heart. I had been experiencing some burn out and not feeling creatively fulfilled. I think most, if not all photographers/creators experience this. For me it tends to come in waves. Being welcomed into their home sparked my love for in-home sessions all over again.
There are a multitude of reasons why I adore in home photography. It allows me to capture the important moment that you are celebrating, but also the place you are experiencing it in. You will look back on these images later and see the very walls you built your life within. I also notice that most people seem more at ease and natural in their own space. It doesn't take much for me to feel at home too! I love searching for where the light streams in, seeking out the areas in your home where you spend the most time, and capturing the little seconds in between shots where life is really happening.
It is always, always an honor to be welcomed into your space. Home and the moments you share within it are sacred.
